Jimi Hendrix and the Welsh National Anthem

A recording of what is believed to be Jimi Hendrix doing a version of the Welsh national anthem 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' has surfaced.

A psychedelic interpretation of the track was discovered in a forgotten tea chest when producer Dave Chapman was sorting through tapes in his Crouch Hill studio in London.

Jimi Hendrix was born in Seattle, USA in 1942 and died in London, UK in 1970. He is considered by many to be one of the influential guitarists of all time. He was apparently kidnapped in 1969 and held for two days by men who were thought to be New York mobsters.
His death has never been fully explained, and there is an ongoing debate about it. He is buried in Seattle, although he requested to be buried in the UK.
