THE BLACKOUT BECOME ONES TO WATCH

The band currently carrying the tags of Wales’ next big thing are this week recognised as such by a major music publication. Merthyr based band The Blackout have been featured in Kerrang magazine, being named as one of the bands to watch in 2007 alongside other such names as Gallows, Kids In Glass Houses, Cute Is What We Aim For and Cancerbats. Having triumphed at the Pop Factory awards late last year the band are currently writing new material but intend to hit the road soon. The next twelve months will be huge for this hotly tipped outfit as they will head back out on tour to promote their debut release and search for stardom amid the muddy fields of the UK festival season. The rumour mill is in full swing already with mention of a possible support slot at the Lostprohpets massive homecoming show at the Full Ponty Festival on The 26th of May.
