Glastonbury acts confirmed

Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire and Bjork have become the first acts to be officially confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Boss Michael Eavis also said he has lined up “the world’s biggest band” to play, which is thought to be The Who after Pete Townshend told Xfm: “I think they want us to do it, and we want to do it.” It’s still unconfirmed who will be the headline acts though, although it is known that Bjork will not play on the Pyramid Stage. The line-up will be announced on April 1 – the same day tickets go on sale but, as always, the line-up will surely be leaked in the coming weeks by bands who can’t contain their excitement at playing the world’s best bash.
