B.B. King has been hospitalised in Texas for undisclosed reason. The legendary bluesman had to cancel a performance last night (Thursday) at the city’s Grand Opera House and was admitted to a non-intensive care unit at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. The 81-year-old is said to be in good condition and could be released late on Friday or Saturday.
King was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush for his services to music.
