Your Sound Is Back In Bis-ness!

Ex-Bis lead singer Manda Rin (aka Amanda McKinnon) is the latest big name to attach herself to Scotland’s best new band initiative – Your Sound. One of Scotland’s top female musical artists, Manda Rin has been confirmed to take control of the decks at the next Your Sound even on Sunday 4th March at Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut. As well as a set full of Manda’s favourite tunes, once again a selection of demos will be sampled from an array of unsigned bands.
February proved to be one of the busiest and most popular Your Sound to date with a number of guest DJ slots from the likes of Keren McKean (Biglife Management), Sharon Stephen (Columbia Regional A&R), Stuart Thomas (Scottish Arts Council), Fraser Thomson (XFM Scotland) and Andrew Hillcoat (Island Records A&R) to name just a few.

The latest band to draw plaudits was Edinburgh five-piece The Vivians who were crowned the Your Sound band of the month with runners up named as The Scarlet and The Early Song.
Any wannabe rock stars who want to be in with a chance of becoming a future Your Sound Artist of the Month or being added to the playlist should sent their demo’s in now for consideration. Log onto the King Tuts website and follow the relevant instructions.
