End Of The Road Festival News

The Bees and King Creosote head the latest batch of artists announced for this year’s End Of The Road festival. Featuring parrots, peacocks, English gardens and a relaxing, communal atmosphere free from corporate branding, it’s the last major festival of the season.

Held amid the wonderful surroundings of Larmer Tree Gardens, in Dorset and Wiltshire, between 14 and 16 September, End Of The Road mixes innovative, upcoming and established acts across all genres. It’s wholly independent, with no advertising to spoil the true ‘music’ festival feel.

As well as being the last festival of the season, End Of The Road is also one of the few events that fans come back from really refreshed and relaxed. This perhaps, has something to do with the wonderful gardens and wildlife roaming free, or just the warm and friendly attitude of the people.

Joining headliners Super Furry Animals, other newly unveiled acts include: Brakes, Devastations, Findlay Brown, Fionn Regan, Hyacinth House, Jeffrey Lewis, Johnny Flynn, Josh T Pearson, , Micah P Hinson, Misty's Big Adventure, My Brightest Diamond, Pete & the Pirates, Port O'Brien and The Twilight Sad

End Of The Road won Best New Festival at the Festival Awards 2006.

With only weekend tickets on sale, it boasts a real sense of community – with the crowd staying the same all weekend.

Other acts will include: Herman Dune, Howe Gelb (of Giant Sand), The Young Republic, Euros Childs, Broken Family Band, Charlie Parr, Seasick Steve, Viking Moses, Sons of Noel & Adrian, Monkey Swallows the Universe, Darren Hayman, Hush The Many, Sunny Day Sets Fire and David Thomas Broughton.
