After the phenomenal success of “Trouble”, and getting famous from the vast amount of airplay received for his cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”, Ray Lamontagne has a good reputation to uphold with his next single.

Jolene, the typical lost love, therefore life has ended love song, featuring the odd bit of drugs, dirt and want, but really it’s cute, well written and beautifully sung. Lamontagne has the power to write a really good song, and make it fantastic just with his voice and atmosphere he creates by keeping the amount of instruments that play with him on record very minimal.
A blues, country yet appealing-to-all single.
