Get Yourself Connected

BANDS wishing to get the chance to play at Scotland’s newest boutique festival, Connect, are being urged to send in their demos for the penultimate Your Sound, Term Two. This will be bands last chance to get onto the May playlist making them eligible to perform on the Your Sound Bandstand.
Taking place from August 30th until September 2nd, the best bands graduating from Term One and Term Two will play in the breathtaking grounds of Inverary Castle.
The acts featured on the playlist on Sunday 6th May at King Tuts from 4pm until 8pm will be the final bands to be considered.
A judging panel made up of DF Concert Promoters and delegates from previous Your Sounds will be choosing the final line-up of the 20 bands who get the chance to play at the very first year of Connect.
Guest DJ at the next Your Sound will be the King Tut’s new band booker, Craig McGee. Creator of top Glasgow Indie club nights, Whitenoisefeedback: distortion and Horrorshow, McGee has also DJ’d around the UK including T in the Park and Death Disco London.
To be in with a chance of becoming May’s Artist of the Month, being added to the playlist and even earning a slot on the Your Sound bandstand at Connect, send your demo in now for consideration.
Log onto Kingtuts.co.uk and click on the Your Sound logo and follow instructions to download an application form.
Submit your application along with two CDs to: Your Sound, 272 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5RL.
All bands MUST submit an application form.
