‘All My Friends’ is fun and pulsing, it pushes most of the right buttons, at all the right times and I love the simplicity of staccato keys, running bass, rolling drums, it makes me wish the song was longer. There is a hypnotic quality to the song I don’t notice until it’s over. I like ‘All My Friends’ partly because it doesn’t use effects, high-end synths and endless variations of the same tune to create feeling. It’s not raw, but it’s sincere and grounded.
