From Bangor, Northern Ireland comes a restless soul who was evidently fed from birth on meaningful soul, blues and funk. Rugged sampling adds to this vibe and it is a heart delving follow on from the suppler and folk nodding previous single, ‘Gabriel & The Vagabound’ that saw Foy’s profile rise just before last Christmas. This has helped the journeying troubadour develop enough confidence to fully expand and eek out more range in his emotive, echoing cries. ‘Be With Me Baby’ is one of those pleas from the heart that has rarely been witnessed with such feeling and projection, since Otis Redding.
