With summer seemingly upon us, the bill for this year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals gets even stronger with the announcement of the line-ups for the Lock-Up Stage and the Dance Stage alongside further additions to other stages.
THE LOCK-UP stage has become one of the twin sites most popular destinations over recent years. Curated by Radio One’s Mike Davies and named after his weekly punk, emo and ska show, this year’s bill has big names and cult favourites aplenty across the two days. It’s always busy in there from the doors opening so make sure to get a good space if you want to see things up close and personal.
Headliners for The Lock-Up stage are New Found Glory.
Also appearing are Turbonegro, Gallows, Against Me!, The Dwarves, From Autumn To Ashes, Cancer Bats, The casualties, Ignite, Municipal Waste, Sonic Boom Six, Ghost of a Thousand.
Jimmy Eat World headlining also, along with The Living End, Thrice, Mad Caddies, The Bronx, Capdown, Big D, The Kids Table, The Draft, Street Dogs, The King Blues, Riverboat, Gamblers and The Grit.
Headlining THE DANCE STAGE are Unkle. The stage also hosts Chk Chk Chk, Peeping Tom, Digitalism, Datarock, Lethal Bizzle, Metronomy, Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, Does it offend you, Yeah? Crystal Castles and The Teenagers.
Added to the Radio One/NME stage are Devendra Banhart, Pull Tiger Tail,. Saturday sees The Sounds, Aiden and The Scare added to the line-up, with Brakes and Dogs appearing on Sunday.
Carling Stage hosts Maps and Make Model on Friday 24th.
