Amy Winehouse has been named as joint favourite by bookmaker William Hill to win the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize.
Her debut album 'Back to Black' is 4/1 to win the award equal with 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' Arctic Monkeys second album.
Glasswerk.co.uk favourite Jamie T is next on the list, tied with Klaxons 'Myths of the Near Future', Dizzie Rascal 'Maths + English' and The View 'Hats Off to the Buskers' all at 8/1.
Fionn Regan 'The End of History' is at 10/1 tied with The Young Knives 'Voices of Animals and Men' and Bat For Lashes debut 'Fur and Gold'.
The outsiders on the 12 artist list are New young Pony Club, Basquiet Strings and Maps all at 12/1.
The award is often hard to pick and this year will be as close as any with so many great albums to choose from. We will be looking at some of the albums that have been overlooked in this shortlist over the next few weeks.
