Levi's Ones To Watch are teaming up with Aussie teen hot shots Operator Please headlining the bill for five dates in September including a Liverpool Barfly show on September 9th. Support comes from Liverpool's up and coming lé band: Elle S’Appelle, Birmingham’s Johnny Foreigner and The Port's very own sleek rock kittens K115.

Operator Please are one of the most thrilling bands to emerge from down under in years. They began life in 2005 by lead singer Amandah Wilkinson at Elanora High School in Brisbane where she formed the band to compete at the annual ‘Battle of Bands’. After winning the competition in front of a phenomenal crowd of 15 and walking away with a box of doughnuts Operator Please started picking up momentum via word of mouth and exposure of their ‘Cement Cement’ EP on the hugely popular Australian radio network, Triple J. Within 12 months the band signed a deal with Virgin/EMI in Australia and Brille Records in the UK (also home to Good Shoes and The Knife). Their single ‘Just A Song About Ping Pong’ has already hit Australia’s Top 10 and it’s been getting support from Radio 1 and XFM leading up to its UK release at the end of August. Their refreshing brand of indie pop is catchy and addictive in a similar vein to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Be Your Own Pet and the B52’s. Oh and did we mention that the band’s average age is 17 which means that they can’t even drink in most of the venues they play at!

Birmingham three-piece Johnny Foreigner provides support on all the LOTW dates in September. The band’s sound is being compared to the Pixies, Pavement, Grandaddy and Bloc Party and they have been receiving support from XFM’s John Kennedy and 6music’s Marc Riley.
