Super Furry Animals have scored the highest new entry on the UK album chart tonight with 'Hey Venus!'. The Welsh indie outfit's eighth LP went in at 11, despite the failure of comeback single 'Show Your Hand' to penetrate the UK singles chart's Top 40 last week. Thus came on the same day that they played so loud at the Jersey Live festival they actually blew up the sound system. Following a massive rendition of 'Receptacle For The Respectable' the sound system went dead and the band had to wait for things to be corrected before being allowed to finish the set. The SFA now move on the the End of the Road Festival before heading out a massive UK tour in October.
