Leeds maestro’s The Kaiser Chiefs have been added as a headliner to this year’s exciting Liverpool Music Week.
The five-piece act are the latest to be confirmed for the prestigious festival starting at the end of November. The Kaiser Chiefs will take to the stage at the Aintree Pavilion on December 7, completing the headline line-up for the ten-day event.
It’s a welcome in that the Kaiser Chiefs have never headlined an arena show in Liverpool before. The Music Week itself has grown and every year it gets more publicity and acclaim. It is billed as the UK’s largest indoor winter event, 200 bands will play at 15 venues throughout Merseyside between November 30 and December 9.
The city’s best-known venue’s have signed up to the festival including Aintree Pavilion, the Philharmonic Hall, the Carling Academy and the Nation. As well as an opportunity for the local bands throughout venues like Zanzibar, Korova, Bumper and The Met.
Chemical Brothers, Madness and Hard Fi are also headlining, and other acts include Pendulum, Good Shoes, Simian Mobile Disco, Lightspeed Champion and Friendly Fires.
Cream chief executive James Barton said: “This is the icing on the cake. The Kaiser Chiefs are one of the UK’s biggest acts right now and it’s a delight to have them performing for Liverpool Music Week.”
