Kraftwerk – Aerodynamic
Is it just me, or does the notion of remixing Kraftwerk sound as futile as following a bear into the woods to see if it takes a shit?
Taken from the 2003 ‘Tour de France Soundtracks’ album, these remixed tracks could have been an exercise in vanity, but Hot Chip have added another dimension to these classics.
‘Aerodynamic’ still swirls and oscillates through aural vistas, but wields a harder, darker edge. ‘La Forme’ builds and stretches into a brooding animal of a track. With this release, Hot Chip have created remixes which not only pay respect to the original artist but also offer a new level of interest for the listener.
