Successful stints on the road with The Enemy and The View has led up to this sauntering single that captures the uplifting thrust of the Brit-pop age and polishes it off with a rising mod styled vocal swagger, provided courtesy of Stuart Whiston. Tom Crompton’s rising guitars gives the number extra edge and profile to match the well controlled vocals and a positive message is driven home. There is a growing tempo build in play here. It gives the song structure an edge over many of the backward gazing stompers, who are emerging with the regularity of another disappointing Chelsea performance.
