Rock Legends, Led Zeppelin have announced they are to release their entire collection of music online from the 13th of November 2007. This may come as a surprise considering their decision not to release their catalogue for online purchase. The change of decision falls upon their re-union gig next month in London, as it will spread their music as well as making it more easily obtainable by fans.
“We are pleased that the complete Led Zeppelin catalogue will now be available digitally. The addition of the digital option will better enable fans to obtain their music in whichever manner they prefer,” said guitarist Jimmy Page in a statement.
The re-union gig was announced last month to be played November 26th in tribute to the late Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records who signed Led Zeppelin in 1968.
Following that, Led Zep is also teaming up with mobile provider “Verzion Wireless” In order for mobile ring tones and full song downloads. Not forgetting the soon to be released “Mothership” a double CD which captures the bands 12 year career and also features a remixed version of “The song remains the same” soundtrack from the bands three nights in Madison Square Garden, 1973.
