Moving Units – Wrong Aagain/Crash ‘n’ Burn Victims

Haunting ghostly vocals hover menacingly above a cauldron of trundling guitars, churning out a bleeding heart and nodding in appreciation towards Radiohead, Muse and eighties lounge/dance. Then, hey presto, ‘Wrong Again’ is born squealing. A tale of youthful ignorance and its harmful effects is exposed. From mournful beginnings rhythm builds adding an infectious and groovy touch to this woe-begotten stomp-off.

Complementing this introduction to the chill-out come down and get up again 2nd album ‘Hexes For Exes’, is the fuzzy bass dragged AA side ‘Crash N’ Burn Victims’. A laid back funk and slight drum n’ bass polish shows Moving Units in a different light, rather like The Rapture being snapped by police speed cameras and being told to take a step back and think about what they’ve done. The Units are moving in a progressive and range expanding direction.
