In case you hadn’t noticed already, there’s been a steady influx of sexy Stockholm-born music running and flourishing in the UK charts. With acclaimed artists including; dance favourite Robyn, alt-indie band Peter Bjorn and John and, of course not forgetting, pop-indie group The Concretes.
Back with their latest single ‘Keep Yours’, taken from their 3rd album ‘Hey Trouble’, The Concretes bring their highly infectious and curiously odd-ball sounds to the fore. There is a lot going on in this single and considering there are seven to eight members in the band at a time that’s no surprise. All-in-all, very edgy indie disco. It’s trendy pop at its best.
An exclusive remix by Kleerup, who recently hit No. 1 with Robyn’s ‘With Every Heartbeat’, takes the track to an eerie techno plane. The Pacific remix is sweetly simple and very 80s.
Not forgetting a new version of another album track ‘Souvenirs’ from The Dreams. It’s aptly mixed, as dreamy is definitely what I’d call it!
