Stars – The Night Starts Here

When you have been to see Kosheen live and need to take stock what do you do? but delve into one of Stars four albums if you have any inkling that is. For this teasing single, these slow groove crafting Montreal mood-builders, use the vocals of Amy Millan and Torquil Campbell to demonstrate what a Kosheen song might sound like if it we co-written by Groove Armada and The New Pornographers.

Subtle bass and patting percussion creates a blanket of promise and consolation. It is a tune that you just want to build and build. Its three minute duration does seem like a tempter rather than a full on release that grows like a perfect night out.
