Rolling Stones – Guitar Found, Keith Richards being festive.

A guitar originally featured on the bands first hit ‘Come On’ has been recovered, Four decades later!

The Guitar belonged to original guitarist ‘Brian Jones’ and was a Harmony Stratotone, it was bought for £30 in 1959. It has been in the possession of dentist, Basil ‘Tug’ Wilson’s family the whole time after a member of the bands entourage used it to cover a dental bill. The guitar is now said to be worth a grand £250,000 reports the Guardian.

Jones Girlfriend, Pat Andrews has also revealed that he used the guitar to teach Keith Richards. “He was teaching Keith how to play because he only knew three chords back then,” she explained. Robert, Wilson’s son has also mentioned that the guitar had been used in the family to teach him and his three brothers to play.

Following this, Guitarist Keith Richards is said to be getting festive and releasing a Christmas themed download on December 11th. The two tracks are ‘Run Rudolph Run’ and ‘Pressure Drop’ and will be available through itunes.

Run Rudolph Run is a Chuck Berry cover and was recorded in 1979; the track was released as a limited edition 7” but has not been available since.

Pressure Drop is a version of “The Toots and The Maytals” which was recorded in May 2003.
