Los Campesinos’ twee piece of pop music is extremely catchy and it almost feels like they’re inviting you to join the party that they’re having.
Saying that, this kind of indie pop music has been overdone a thousand times, and this song feels no fresher than anything else that has been hyped by NME recently. Los Campesinos have made a song that will be played a thousand times at the local indie club and will definitely get everyone on their feet dancing – but this is not always a good thing.
Surely it would be nicer if the music that was coming out didn’t always sound like a hybrid of at least three other bands in the same genre. Yes, this song is fun, but it doesn’t add anything new to a jaded scene.
