Aaron Lawrence is a man with a passion. Not for football, or pizza, or driving fast, no. Wolves.
With close ties to the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Aaron Lawrence creates a wholeheartedly native American sound with flute, keyboard and percussion, combined with nature’s sound effects – singing birds, running water, crickets, howling wolves and other such wildlife. This is not meant to be music for the charts, this is not music that you will hear on MTV, this is relaxed, natural music by a passionate man in touch with his spirit.
Lyrics in Kindred Spirits are spoken, thanking the Lord for animals and wildlife against a flute backdrop and singing wolves, conjuring up images of man sitting alone on a rock, playing a flute and looking out over a meadow where a few cattle graze.
Pan-pipe enthusiasts should take note, this highly native sound is not dissimilar. Aaron Lawrence creates a deep, spiritual, relaxed and contented mood that sends the listener into a calmer, more soothed world.
And the most commendable thing about Aaron Lawrence is that he donates a portion of everything me makes from his music to the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center. Respect.
Long live Colorado.
