The Presets – My People

Having taken a break from recording in the last couple of years to earn them an almost legendary status as live performers, Australian electrorockers The Presets have released “My People”, a fuzzy beat-driven dance anthem in the making, as a taster to their second album release “Apocalypso” out later this year.

The live experience has clearly paid off, if this track is anything to go by their music has become epic in proportions. The radio edit hits you from the outset with an electronic beat that drives through the rest of the track. Simple enough to be catchy, the lyrics are fairly basic and have a repetitive chorus, but the track also has enough layers to it to allow 5 remixes for the single release alone.

Carrying the banner of industrial psychedelic techno artists, these guys have crammed as many different rhythms and beats as you get in your average car factory. They have been described as future pagan, and there is something almost primal about the pounding electronic beats. This is guaranteed to be a huge hit on dance floors throughout the world this year.
