Peter Bloom Band – Let It Go/Careful

With the Nickelback revival continuing to gain momentum and Bryan Adams bringing new material to the airwaves, attention is beginning to turn to Canada.

Toronto’s Peter Bloom and his accompanying quartet of close knit troubadours, leans vocally towards the latter artist and Van Morrison, for the International Song Of The Year competition winning, ‘Let It Go’. Demonstrative vocals are toed along by a tugging piano and patting percussion courtesy of Roger Travossos. An aching heart bleeds out with sincerity.

A similar effect is produced in the slow percussion introduced ode, ‘Careful’. Sentimentality is delved into without too much sappiness. Bloom has an earnest touch that will win friends.
