Public Jones -
Album Review

Public Jones –

Public Jones are FAR too old to be producing the kind of music that Kevin and Perry would listen to in their bedrooms. With intelligent lyrics like “All these pills / Give me thrills / But I always pay my bills.” It is hard to see why they aren’t top forty material.

Combining sleazy Flight Of The Conchords style vocals with awful electro and “70s rock groove” Public Jones must, actually must, be ironic. Saying that, it’s quite worth listening to, if only to smirk to yourself whilst you compare them to the band looking for the “new sound” in the first series of The Mighty Boosh.
