Ducksicle -
Album Review

Ducksicle –

Ducksicle seem to have a completely new concept, it seems they believe that if they carry the vocal notes on for long enough, that no-one will hear the music behind it.

And it works!

The vocals drone on for the length of almost a whole song! Paralyze is particularly dreadful for this. The song is weak and will not be covered up by the “irresistably bouncy female bassist” which they seem to think is the best thing about themselves.

In Sucker Punch you can faintly hear the B52’s influence, with the vocal, but the music, the guitars and the beat aren’t anywhere near the standard, or even league, of the B52’s.

Ducksicle, self confessed pioneers of “poultry rock”, need to reinvent their identity as well as their music.
