Suck: The new guy in series 8 of That 70s Show. Josh Meyers does not add up to the departed Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher. Its as if his lines are written by a new guy too. It’s the same old jokes, but they just don’t work

Suck Not: Mila Kunis has now turned into a total hottie 😉 Now that evil sister Foreman has gone (I forget her name) and Brooke Sheilds and Mrs Pinciotti have left poor old Bob, Jackie is the only perving opportunity left. Although Donna would still get it….

Suck: “Dawn Does….” That stupid series on BBC3 where a bimbo twenty something in desperate need for attention goes on about shallow, monotonous and pointless life topics. She did however get her boobs out on the last one so.. Maybe I change my mind.

Suck Not: We have gone a bit Elle S’appelle mad here at Gwerk, with TWO live reviews last week. You can see the both and more about them here – link

Suck: People who put up half an episode of a programme on youtube and forget the second half.

Suck Not: Black Francis aka Frank Black. Still going strong and churning out tunes for the Pixie faithful. Read about it here – link

Suck: Elle S’appelle front man Andy Donavon at football. We were bad. He was worst.

Suck Not: Buffalo 77’s last single, “Won’t Forget.”. If you like Snow Patrol then you too will think it does not suck. link

Suck: Sky TV. You pay for the sports channels but don’t get Sky Sports News – when it is free on freeview.

Suck Not: The Lancashire Hotpots. Their debut London gig is in April (not forgetting that we brought Arctic Monkeys and Reverend and The Makers to the big smoke first). Another Glasswerk coup? We think so – link

Suck: The French, for being sore losers. Always.

Suck Not: Side project bands. We have Kong (side project to Oceansize) at Dickensian Disco, Manchester on the 14th March, Centiment (McPherson brothers of INME) supporting Fei Comodo in Liverpool, Manchester and London in April and finally Mark Morriss (of Bluetones) doing his solo stuff in April also at Dickensian Disco in Manchester

Suck: People who say LOL. And ROFL (don’t even know what that means). And AFK. And people who say ‘like’ every second word. And also who say suck and don’t mean it in a post-ironic sense. Mind I detect LOL so much I cant even say it in a post-modern-ironic sense.

So enough about that. What’s coming up?

It seems we have Liverpool ex-pat Ragz playing at Lark In The Park, London on 29th Feb along with Madox Ford and Vaughan King. Also in London that night at Nambucca are Alamode, Epitones, The Black Tricks, Manner. Saturday 1st March @ Jabez Clegg, Manchester is To The Bones, Zero:State, Miajade.
