Young Knives – Up All Night

‘Up All Night’ is the first single off the young knives forthcoming second album ‘Superabundance’ and if the rest of the album is like this I can’t wait.

A classic pop-punk (emphasis on the pop bit) ditty, which instantly makes you feel obliged to dance round the room with your best Iggy Pop moves. With lines like ‘I took a look in the mirror, I wish I was thinner, then everything would be fine’, makes the song not only a tongue ‘n’ cheek swipe at how our media frenzied culture has influenced us, but also a cynical tale of the media types that the band have encountered in the last 18 months. A stomping song, that combines catchy lyrics with pounding drums and thrashing guitars making it truly anthemic.
