Bryan L Hughes –
A self-confessed helpless romantic, Bryan L Hughes is a folk artist playing acoustic guitar and singing songs about love over politics.
It is hard to be different to the rest of the pack when you play an acoustic guitar and Bryan L Hughes is no exception. Free To Love, Easy To Say and Falling Out Of Winter sound very similar in terms of rhythm and style and the vocal throughout, whilst competent, does not deliver convincingly.
No doubt listening to Hughes playing live would be enjoyable, but more as background music as there is not enough depth or variety here to pique more interest. More rhythmic changes, identifiable hooks and distinguishable vocals are needed.
