Late Of The Pier - The Bears Are Coming
Album Review

Late Of The Pier – The Bears Are Coming

Hailed as one of Britain’s most unusual of new bands, Late Of The Pier can do little else to suggest otherwise after making the video to this little number. It’s wonderfully odd and quite bizarre but after a couple of years of flamboyant new rave, LOTP offer up a refreshing fast paced 80’s nostalgia trip which is more than capable of firmly rooting itself into your music hungry brain cells.

The Bears are Coming is frustratingly catchy but really, what’s not to like? Hideously clever disjointment and synth pop delivered in a bundle of fashion confusion with a teaspoon of punk prog rock for good measure. Prepare to love this song, this band and the very idea behind it. Late of Pier are well on the way to being summer festival favourites.
