Toochi - I Represent
Album Review

Toochi – I Represent

Knowing our luck, these fine-looking identical twin sisters are number one and donned the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, with raving reviews by Simon Cowell and Geri Halliwell (I actually quite like Geri), there’s bad news afoot for this 2-some, as quite simply there’s nothing remotely sensational about Toochi. Ouch.

There’s definitely a market for them and they will find success mark my words, but ‘I Represent’ lacks what we want to hear for their defining breaking single. Popular as it may turn out to be, as it’s ultimately catchy, repetitive but altogether pretty unimaginative. Maybe my speakers are shoddy?

Also, Cowell declaring that this will be ‘a hit in the clubs’ is like your gramps saying ‘you look good in your fashionable clothes’. Please Simon, when was the last time you set foot into a club? And don’t tell me what’s cool ‘cos you simply just don’t know!

Hope the Chi twins (named after the first part of their forenames Chinwe and Chidi combined with the fact that there are TWO of them – thus Toochi) release a kickin’ single next time around! I think you guys deserve another chance after being given this poor track to industry-crash with.
