Bumblebeez - Rio
Album Review

Bumblebeez – Rio

Australia – the home of multi million selling artists – there’s Kylie and erm….
Anyway OZ’ brother/sister duo Bumblebeez (urgh!!)want to liven up the pop disco arena and challenge the diminutive Minogue with a view to lifting her crown.

It’s gonna be a hard one to shift but these siblings are certainly up for having a damn good go and would appeal to the commercial dance/ baleric beat crowd of today. The whole song revolves round the loop words ‘I’m flying down to Rio’ sung by Pia whilst her brother Chris chuckles a pile of rejected fatboy slim samples and happy house beats over the top. The whole thing is lavish camp disco that Scissor Sister / Mika fans would lap up aplenty.

The cd comes with 4 additional mixes from Herve, Crookers and Etinene De Crecy with the highlight being…..damn I think I’m losing the will to live here. Someone get me some Nitroxyl anion and make it snappy!!
