Dirt Jake Replicas - Part 1
Album Review

Dirt Jake Replicas – Part 1

A seamlessly melodic, angst-ridden offering from US soft rock act, Dirt Jake Replicas.

Demonstrating harmonic precision as immaculate as the band’s sophisticated production techniques, “Part 1” entails a striking contrast of low-slung melancholic bass and climactic solos. The male and female vocals meld together to effective harmonic impact, whilst the creeping pace of the distorted bass riffs is undeniably atmospheric.

Although the band cite Tool as one of their most predominant influences, there is little evidence here to substantiate the aforementioned claim. Minor discrepancies aside, however “Part 1” is both an instrumentally innovative and melodically arresting piece.
