Now then, the 1st flipside ‘Walking on the Sand (live acoustic)’, what’s that like? Incredibly cool, well paced and patient music that a ‘Tropicalia’ era Beck would be proud of, upholds a familiar, slinky Sean Cook vocal that draws you in close and tangles you up tight with its intricately woven spell. It could be purrfect! A few prominent blasts of harmonica penetrate the otherwise subtle, infectious sounds of the track before it beautifully fades into the ethereal.

Spacelands remix of ‘The Temptress’ initially sounds like Bjork has got her gorgeous lady claws into the mix. However, it’s not long before some heavy bassed beats shatter any distinctly Icelandic angles. Sean croons like a good un throughout the urgency injected, more upbeat track. Does it work? There can be no denying it does and its diversity is refreshing, but I personally prefer the Flies for their trademark simplistic eeriness that intoxicatingly creeps under your skin. Ooh, I’m all aquiver at the mention of it!
