Blackhart and Strangelove – Kill Your Love

Tessa Blackheart on vocals and Johnny Strangelove on music make for an interesting combination. There is almost a real warning alarm aout the invading guitar, which is then polarised by the cheery downbeat supporting organs and accoustics, not to mention Tessa’s very carefree voice.

So lounge music with attitude? Artistic expression with message? The pairing here is certainley saying something. Both artists have created something very special. There is not a lazy note in the music. It may seem over produced in areas, but each new instrument that is intoduced seems easily as important as the previous.

This could be one of this years few something sacred out there; Assuming of course it gets the attention it deserves.
