Swanky lyrics sang with such unapologetic swagger and in such a rip-roaring voice that does so much more than to make The Casuals stand out from the current day cool kid crowd, ‘Get it Together Man’ is surely gonna go down a storm, right? The accomplished musical accompaniment is driven and drowned in urgency, distracting us from any making any easy comparisons to similar acts of a similar calibre and their all too similar sounds of today. Kickass vocals, guitar, and drums…what more do you want?!
The flipside keeps up the attitude heavy approach, subtly adding more melody to the mix this time around. I’m not sure whether the “All you good good people” chanting is forgivable, but given its ‘Good People’ title I guess we’ll have to, after all, it’s a small snag in a big song that accentuates the TC sound perfectly.
