Jack delights us once again with his forthcoming single ‘Hope’. Sticking to that laid-back summery vibe that we all know and love so much, ‘Hope’ provides the background sound to help us drift away and forget about our problems, even if it is just for three minutes and forty-two seconds.
‘Jack Johnson has found global success on his own terms, without hype or compromise,’ quite true as Jack seems to have hit the big time quietly. Without causing controversy, without being in the media spotlight that much it’s annoying and without disappearing for years on end in between the releasing of his albums. That’s what makes him so appealing; if you like his music listen to it, if you don’t…then don’t, simple as.
It is clear that on the first time of hearing this song, it is one of Jack’s, however it has a slightly more edgier rhythm than his other tracks, beginning with that catchy off-beat Reggae rhythm which makes you want to bob up and down just like, well, Bob!
This is a great track for the summer months, and it just proves that Jack Johnson is continuing to make sweet, fun-loving music and will do for some time yet.
