Secret Garden Party Website Live With The Most Ecclectic Line Up Ever!

The Secret Garden Party always keeps its` line up under tight wraps and this year the surprise was even bigger with a bill crazier but perhaps greater than ever before. Grace Jones will make an extremely rare and exclusive UK festival apperance. The soul diva will fit in just perfectly at the UK`s weirdest festival. Her Royal Madness famously slapped chat show host Russell Harty across the face live on air and will fill the Great (Shark) Stage with her huge presence. The disco and Jamaican influenced records will be some highlight for the 24 – 27 July, warm summer weekend.

Secret Garden always know the next big thing before anybody else and ignoring the money makers and ticket sellers to book bands on the verge of success including K T Tunstall (2004), Noisettes (2005), Hard Fi (2005), The Rumble Strips (2006), Lily Allen (2006), Newton Faulkner (2007) and Reverend And The Makers (2007). Following last year`s New Rave night where Sunshine Underground and New Young Pony Club sent the Garden into raptures, guarenteed hit-makers of the near future, New York`s Ratatat will play their wonderful warped dance music to a packed Where The Wild Things Are tent.

Last year`s `Where The wild Things Are` theme was a big success with volunteer action camps providing entertainment from mud divers to the Suicide Sports Club riding on kids bikes straight in rivers and bins; a group of `undertakers` walking with a coffin playing dance music. There was a make your own tombstone tent, orange tent – “no orange, no entry” and that was just the start of the tomfoolery. This year`s `Come The Revolutions` titled festival will no doubt be even more fun fueled by an all night absinthe bar and wild moon-light dances at The Feast of Fools. Exploring the Revolutions of Past, Present and Future, from the physical through to the conceptual the Head Gardener will be asking all Gardeners to stage their own revolutions, devolutions and evolutions bringing the Garden to life with parades, music, sculpture and theatre. This is not your average commercial festival!

The music is always king here though, as established bands from Sons and Daughters to Morcheeba mix with the freshest new talent such as the Wallbirds and Little Ones . There are still two big headliners to be announced and the line up always gets bigger and better as the three long months count down.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £125. This price is all inclusive – no extras for booking charges, car parking or campervan pitches! Tickets available through the Secret Garden Party website at the 2008 official website link along with youth tickets for the 14-17 year olds (accompanied by an adult), priced at £100.
