Urbnri – Back Me Up

‘Back Me Up’ sounds like it could’ve come off the Breakfast Club OST, with its pulsating 80s drive and basic memorable construct. All good so far then and with the more contemporary, drawled emo vocal riding the track, it’s a success, albeit a forgettable but inarguably enjoyable one. The Oliperphonic mix makes the track dance floor doable, ideal for fishing all the townies and trendies as well as the emos. And as for the Wonky mix that wanders into more house related territory, its acceptable and works no less than either of its predecessors. This CD is catchier than the common cold, well, that’s not quite true I suppose, but it’s very good all the same.
