Latitude's Music Line-up Reaches Great New Heights

Suffolk's alt-art festival Latitude – July 17 – 20 – has announced further acts to join the three music stages. Warmly welcomed to the main Obelisk Stage are newly confirmed American Indie titans Nada Surf and Indiana's heavy hearted, druken doom marchers Murder By Death who will still provide the most heartwarming and authentic performance of the weekend. Dark, sultry, rock n roll to love, dance and drink to. If Al Swearengen could set his saloon here MBD would provide the perfect forbodding music to accompany the Deadwood carnage among the most beautiful surroundings. Boy Decide from an impossible array of clashes; just don't miss these. Who knows what could befall us?

Headlining this year's event, also on the Obelisk Arena, Scottish art-rock heroes Franz Ferdinand play their only English festival show exclusively at Latitude on the Friday night; the majestic and soaring Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós head up Saturday's line-up and New York titans Interpol close the arena on the Sunday with their unique brand of powerful and atmospheric inventive indie rock. Friday night over on the Uncut Arena will see an incredibly special performance from Africa's remarkable Amadou and Mariam and throughout the rest of the weekend the Obelisk and Uncut Arenas will host stunning performances from Nick Cave's Grinderman , the beautiful poetry of Martha Wainwright , epic musicians The Mars Volta , the charming Death Cab for Cutie , legendary alt rockers The Breeders , grime, hip-hop, electro pop queen, M.I.A. and the super energetic, addictive dance along tunes of the Go! Team .
