‘3’ by Grimsby’s The Brightlights has got everything to deserve its place as a hit. The dominance of the enigmatic vocal narrowly escapes from being found guilty of distracting the ear from superbly executed instrumentation that’s heard throughout this catchy upbeat and stomping 2 tracker. The flipside ‘Another Night’ is every bit as good as its predecessor and simply adds to the sheer strength of this Arctic Monkeys/Doves amalgamation of a band and this, their fantastic June 6th release.
