Beth Rowley - So Sublime
Album Review

Beth Rowley – So Sublime

There are fewer sentences that strike fear into the hearts of man like “New series of Big Brother” or “You have to stay until its finished” the following sentence is something that gives you a warning to someones creditentials. “Brightest New Star – Daily Mail”

And so it goes. Beth Rowley is the new singing sensation to follow on the hotly contested Radio 2 conveyor behind Duffy et al.
Too be fair its not bad, the girl can sing, the songs nice enough , and theres nothing offensive to not like it. Beth has a Karen Carpenter-esque sound that smoothly carries the melody along to its destination.

The issue I have probably to my naivety is that Soul singer and Blues Singer are terms banded round quite easily for this young lady yet I cant hear any soul in it.

This will happily fill the gap for the auntie who doesn’t know what to get her niece for her birthday but Bille Holiday it is not.
