Gavin Rossdale – Love Remains The Same

Hmm. I really wanted to like this. Gavin Rossdale has a fantastic voice and with Bush and Institute he made some fantastic records. This is not one of them. The lyrics are weak – half the time the world is ending/truth is I am done pretendingtoo much time too long defending/you and I are done pretending – the backing instrumentation wouldn’t sound amiss on a Blue or Westlife track and it’s just boring.

Hopefully the album Wanderlust, from which this is a single, is much stronger. I’m going to go listen to sixteen stone now to try and regain the faith.
