Tynemouth rockers The Motorettes have split up after just one album. The hotly tipped trio, who comprised of brothers Jed and Jack Laidlaw (who was later replaced by Daniel Rose-Troup) along with Robin Howe, have decided to call time on the band.
Jack and Robin broke the disappointing news on their MySpace page, stating: “We are sorry to announce that The Motorettes are no more, after Jed left it never really felt right again and so we decided to call it a day. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who ever came to see us, bought a single or album, or just checked us out on myspace.”
Jack and Robin will instead concentrate on their new band, Love Bites and Bruises – which you can check out here link.
Their first gig will be @ The Head of Steam, Newcastle on 09/07/08.
