The Outline: An insight into their pizza powered world!

On June 16th L.A.s THE OUTLINE released 'You Smash It, We'll Build Around It', their highly praised Chris Fudurich (Finch, Nada Surf)produced album.

Having toured My Chemical Romance, Panic At The Disco and Saosin, they're quickly making their mark on the music world. And so I thought it only right that their British public (along with the rest of the world of course!) vitrually heard what they have to say for themselves…

I SHOULD'VE TAKEN TAP DANCING LESSONS.

YES, AND NOW I'M GONNA GO BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES.

IT ALWAYS DOES, THAT'S ACTUALLY WHAT ‘SHOTGUN’ IS PARTIALLY ABOUT.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND OR NEW YORK CITY.

BILL NYE….. (THE SCIENCE GUY)

WE'RE PLAYING ALMOST ONLY SONGS OFF OF ‘YOU SMASH IT…’ AND WE ALL GOT PEDICURES TOO!

WE BUTT HEADS ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT MORE OR LESS.

Wish you were doing anything else with your time other than music?
YEAH, I’VE BEEN DYING TO GET INTO ACCOUNTING!

IT'S A HARD PATH, THERE'S LITTLE CHANCE OF REALLY SUCCEEDING OR MAKING A LIVING, BUT I WOULDN'T CHOOSE ANYTHING ELSE.

Any career highs or lows you care to share?
OUR FIRST SHOW EVER IN EUROPE, PLAYING THE APOLLO HAMMERSMITH IN LONDON, ON MY BIRTHDAY IN DECEMBER, WHICH WAS PRETTY UNREAL.

Do you enjoy playing live or are you more at home in a studio?
I LOVE PLAYING LIVE; TOURING IS MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD.

Your career defining dream moment would be what?
3 WAY WITH SHANIA TWAIN AND FAITH HILL!

THE LIVING SUNS, CAVIL AT REST, CHIEF, RUMSPRINGA, SUPERHUMANOIDS

I’m sure you’ve done a few but, do you know which has been your best ever gig?
OUR RECORD RELEASE PARTY IN LOS ANGELES WAS MY FAVOURITE SHOW EVER. IT WAS PACKED FULL OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND IT WAS JUST A REALLY GREAT NIGHT FOR US.

What will this year bring?
TOURS TOURS TOURS AND A NEW RECORD.

Is there more pressure playing live with a band than there is playing solo?
NO WAY, SOLO IS SCARY.

A JOHN LENNON QUOTE RESPONDING TO CRITICISM FROM AN ANARCHIST PUBLICATION.
