Passenger - Things you‘ve Never Done
Album Review

Passenger – Things you‘ve Never Done

Having shamelessly sang the praises of Passenger in the past, I wasn’t half pleased to get the chance to review their last (from the ‘Wicked Mans Rest’ LP) and latest Handel sampling, string laden and ultimately emotive release ‘Things you‘ve Never Done’.

Yes it’s predictably schmaltzy in part and the lyrical rhyming does hold a certain element of cheese but still, storyteller Mike Rosenberg has and will surely continue to receive any credit due because, to put it simply, his Passenger vehicle is an exquisite and intelligent exercise in musical craft and composition.

Their current UK tour should be well worth checking out, especially in light of the fact that the magnificent Manc’ Jim Noir is offering up the support slot here and there too.
