Less Than Jake – GNV FLA
The seventh full-length album from the Florida ska band Less than Jake is another consistent trumpet-filled, drum-thrashing quick-witted effort.
GNV FLA holds 15 punchy tracks of classic ska tunes, highlights including Settling Son and The Space They Can’t Touch, but unfortunately shows very little in the way of variation and never escapes from the norm. If you liked their earlier efforts this album will not disappoint; if you were hoping for a departure from their classic sound then I’d look elsewhere.
