Royal Treatment Plant – Hope Is Not Enough

Soaring tuneful pop that screams out to you with aplomb, confidence and assurance. It’s driven, full of potential hits, infectiously brilliant and all in all 8 of the most exciting debutant songs you’re likely to hear all year.

Expect to hear a lot more from ‘Royal Treatment Plan’ in the coming months, these sharp sounding anthems sound vital, full of spirit and passion and are sure to take the music scene by storm once they unleash themselves onto the touring circuit.

From the opening chords of ‘Hope is not Enough’ it’s obvious that this band mean business, this track is pop punk at its fearsome best, a no holds barred full throttle assault of sexy energetic rock n’ roll.

Second track ‘Half As Much’ is eerie and darker and demonstrates the band are equally at home when whipping up a slower groove with moody atmospherics reminiscent of ‘Joy Division’. Recent single ‘Get Played’ is one of the many highlights on the album, this ‘Blondie’ and ‘Elastica’ inspired track is the kind of addictive ‘get-up-and-go’ anthem that will no doubt see them reap success and critical acclaim.

Elsewhere there’s also the brilliantly exuberant ‘Hearts and Minds’, where vocalist Paula Steel demonstrates her remarkable vocal range and ability to sound angelic and powerful, the catchy ‘open up your eyes’ chorus transcends the songs towards its uplifting climax.

The epic finale of ‘Pricey’, which draws the album to its closure, is the perfect way to end the album; a grandiose anthem with a hook so catchy you’ll surely be telling yourself you’ve found your new favourite band.

Whilst being shorter than the conventional album with just eight tracks, ‘Royal Treatment Plant’ will waste no time in imprinting their delightful sound onto your brain and exposing themselves as one of the most exciting new bands around.
